Benefits Manager, Retirement & Employee Programs

Location: Boston Hub, 1001 Boylston Street; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home each week. No relocation assistance is offered.

Salary: $120,830–$181,246 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the administration, governance, and compliance of retirement programs, including the 401(k) plan and retirement committee activities.
• Own the strategy, design, and delivery of fringe benefits, wellness programs, commuter benefits, fitness programs, reimbursements, and employee perks.
• Lead retirement plan integrations, vendor transitions, program enhancements, benchmarking, and market analysis.
• Manage relationships with Fidelity, Willis Towers Watson, and other external vendors and consultants.
• Develop and administer benefits programs across the United States, Canada, and Brazil while improving operational efficiency.
• Support Workday open enrollment, year-round benefits communications, compliance activities, audits, and cross-functional process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience designing, delivering, and continuously improving employee benefits programs, including retirement plans and wellbeing initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits and retirement regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, and 401(k) governance.
• Experience managing retirement plan recordkeepers, brokers, wellness partners, benefits administrators, consultants, and other service providers.
• Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder partnership, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Experience with Workday benefits administration and reporting, annual open enrollment, and process enhancement.
• Ability to support retirement committee activities, fiduciary governance, compliance reviews, audits, and strategic retirement initiatives.

• Experience supporting benefits programs in Canada and/or Brazil.
• Experience with retirement plan integrations and fiduciary governance.
