Director of Benefits

Location: Chicago, IL; Menlo Park, CA; or New York, NY, with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week

Base pay: $225,000–$265,000 USD in Menlo Park or New York; $198,000–$233,000 USD in Chicago. The role is also eligible for bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and evolve the global benefits philosophy and strategy.
• Design, implement, and manage health, welfare, retirement, leave, and voluntary benefits across international jurisdictions.
• Lead annual program reviews, renewals, vendor negotiations, and regulatory monitoring.
• Partner with Legal and Finance on compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Lead benefits due diligence and integration for M&A activity.
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing benefits team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in benefits, including designing and implementing global programs.
• Deep expertise in US and international health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs.
• Strong analytical skills, including modeling program costs, utilization, and ROI.
• Experience with M&A benefits due diligence and integration.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements across global jurisdictions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex topics clearly to employees and leadership.
