Sr. Manager, Portfolio and Opex Analysis (Finance)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; relocation eligible; travel required 10% of the time

Salary: $158,500–$218,000 per year, with potential bonus and stock award compensation

What you will do

• Lead financial strategy, portfolio investment governance, annual operating plans, forecasts, and long-range planning for the Metals Deposition business unit.
• Manage financial oversight of R&D and capital investment portfolios, including prioritization frameworks, funding recommendations, business cases, project economics, and ROI analysis.
• Develop financial models for operating expenses, headcount, labor, capital expenditures, and project investments.
• Monitor expense performance, profitability targets, portfolio health, financial risks, and corrective actions.
• Deliver executive-level reporting, performance analysis, scenario modeling, and recommendations to business and corporate leadership.
• Lead, coach, and develop finance analysts while driving standardization, automation, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical financial expertise with strong business acumen and financial analysis capabilities.
• Experience with strategic planning, forecasting, operating expense management, investment governance, and resource allocation.
• Ability to influence executives and collaborate across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Corporate Finance.
• Strong executive communication, data-driven decision-making, organizational influence, and talent-development skills.
• Ability to manage complex, cross-functional planning activities across multiple organizations and geographic regions.
