Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Manager (MHPSS)

What you will do

• Lead the integration of mental health into primary healthcare in line with WHO mhGAP-HIG, IASC MHPSS guidelines, national guidelines, and IRC frameworks.
• Coordinate MHPSS programming across Health and Protection, identifying gaps, synergies, challenges, and good practices.
• Provide clinical supervision, technical support, mentoring, performance reviews, and professional development for psychiatrists, psychologists, general practitioners, mentors, and caseworker supervisors.
• Develop and implement MHPSS clinical guidelines, SOPs, referral pathways, awareness packages, IEC materials, and mhGAP implementation plans.
• Lead data collection, monitoring and evaluation, quality control, reporting, and documentation for mental health and community-based psychosocial support activities.
• Oversee MHPSS staff and partners, support capacity-building plans, coordinate with stakeholders and the Ministry of Health, and help manage budgets, procurement, and project proposals.

Requirements

• Psychiatrist or psychologist with a master’s degree in clinical psychology or counselling psychology and at least four years of MHPSS program experience.
• Experience implementing IASC MHPSS guidelines in emergency settings and working in conflict-affected environments.
• Experience with mhGAP training and supervision, including the Intervention Guide, Humanitarian Intervention Guide, and operational manual.
• Experience delivering Psychological First Aid training and developing curricula for community-based MHPSS programs.
• Fluent Arabic and English are required.
• Experience in MHPSS coordination, project management, team management, training, supervision, monitoring, and work with displaced persons, refugees, returnees, or migrants.
