What you will do

• Originate portfolio, conventional, FHA, VA, and RD mortgage loans in compliance with investor requirements and applicable laws.
• Provide mortgage advice, collect complete borrower applications, and obtain documentation for income, assets, property, debt, and credit verification.
• Manage the loan pipeline and coordinate daily with processors, underwriters, closers, borrowers, Realtors, and closing agents.
• Prepare borrowers for the mortgage process, communicate application updates, explain closing costs, and notify applicants of approvals or denials.
• Develop referral networks with bank associates, Realtors, builders, and community contacts.
• Maintain timely compliance disclosures and stay current on mortgage products, regulations, investor guidelines, and banking requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of mortgage laws, procedures, rules, regulations, and bank policies at federal, state, local, and bank-wide levels.
• NMLS registration under the SAFE Act is required, including registration or transfer immediately after starting and annual renewal.
• Excellent communication, analytical, customer service, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels, meet deadlines, work under stress, and travel when required.
• Ability to use or learn Microsoft Office and Outlook.

• Bachelor's degree.
• More than 2 years of mortgage origination experience.
