Manufacturing Technician II (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX; onsite cleanroom manufacturing environment

Salary: $20.00–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.
• Receive and audit parts, inspect them for defects, and troubleshoot or improve manufacturing processes.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies.
• Complete job documentation and data entry related to progress, expenses, and labor.
• Perform computer programming, equipment repairs, or software installations when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor, display, comparable industry, or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to work extended periods standing and perform physically demanding activities, including lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery such as forklifts; cleanroom personal protective equipment may be required.

• Associate’s degree, technical education, certifications, or relevant training.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using established procedures or scientific methods.
• ASSEET or BSEET training, including DeVry or TSTC programs.
