AI Research Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Architect the reasoning core for world-modeling and simulation products like Dream Machine and Ray3.
• Co-design multimodal representations and establish rigorous scaling laws for model training.
• Develop proxy tasks and automated metrics to align training loss with user experience.
• Build high-velocity research infrastructure, ensuring production-research parity and reproducibility.
• Optimize training runs on large-scale GPU clusters.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Physics, or Mathematics.
• First-principles intuition for scaling and understanding of architectural success/failure.
• Fluency in both frontier AI research and engineering.
• Experience with distributed or high-performance computing and GPU cluster optimization.
• Ability to design, execute, and analyze rigorous experiments.

Nice to have

• Track record of publications at top-tier venues like NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR.
• Experience building research infrastructure with production-research parity.
• Strong software engineering practices including testing and documentation.
• Knowledge of low-precision training and hardware-aware optimization.
