Global Process Support Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Relocation eligible; travel required approximately 10% of the time.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop service procedures, Best Known Methods, technical product manuals, Customer Engineering Notices, Internal Service Bulletins, and troubleshooting guides for new products.
• Participate in or lead first chamber builds and tests in the applications laboratory, resolve issues, and coordinate solutions with Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Support new product final testing, qualification data collection, product installation, start-up, retrofits, and maintenance processes.
• Partner with Quality & Reliability to address top field issues, participate in CAPA, and conduct or facilitate failure analysis.
• Create initial training packages and coordinate training classes for Customer Engineers, Process Engineers, and Technical Product Support staff before product shipments.
• Identify parts requiring stocking and coordinate with AGS to ensure availability in the correct locations.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how the function integrates with other areas of the business.
• Ability to solve complex problems by analyzing multiple sources of information and applying sound judgment.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus across teams.
• Ability to act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and lead small projects.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
