Securities Trading Attorney (Financial Services)

Location: New York, New York; onsite

Annual base pay: $200,000–$250,000 plus discretionary bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Provide frontline legal support to multiple trading desks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate ISDAs, trade confirmations, prime brokerage, clearing, direct market access, and other trading-related agreements.
• Support agreements related to the trading and financing of securities and exchange-traded and OTC financial products.
• Coordinate with trading, operations, compliance, tax, and other internal stakeholders.
• Oversee and coordinate outside counsel on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of legal experience, including at least 4 years of securities trading experience.
• Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, organization, planning, problem-solving, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, handle confidential information, and adapt to urgent requests.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Willingness to work additional and flexible hours occasionally.
• Visa sponsorship for work authorization is not available now or in the future.
