Customer Support Technician III-EPI (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Shenzhen, China. On-site customer support role with travel required 20% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Plan daily work within the assigned territory and complete preventive and remedial maintenance.
• Perform periodic maintenance, wet cleans, system start-ups, warranty work, paid service, and service contract activities.
• Verify equipment operation quality, troubleshoot process variations, and identify system problems with support from senior engineers when needed.
• Coordinate support plans with customer management and act as a liaison on administrative and technical matters.
• Track equipment performance, plan uptime improvements, and apply Statistical Process Control and Quality Improvement Process methods.
• Provide technical assistance and informal guidance to less experienced personnel.

Requirements

• Proficiency in a range of analytical processes or procedures.
• Good understanding of team integration and cross-functional objectives.
• Ability to solve atypical or infrequent problems using established procedures and precedents.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including extended walking and standing, tight spaces, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colors, work in noisy environments, and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom while using required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
