MRO Buyer

Location: On-site in Franklin, New Hampshire, United States; Monday–Friday office attendance required

What you will do

• Procure MRO materials, facility supplies, spare parts, equipment, and services for manufacturing and facility maintenance.
• Maintain inventory levels, manage purchase orders, and monitor pricing, quantities, delivery schedules, and material availability.
• Develop supplier relationships, qualify new suppliers, and address quality, delivery, cost, shortage, and supply chain issues.
• Use ERP/MRP systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to forecast demand, track KPIs, and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records.
• Support cycle counts, min/max levels, Kanban systems, replenishment processes, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities while ensuring compliance with purchasing, safety, regulatory, and ethical procurement requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in materials planning, production planning, inventory management, purchasing, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on-site at the Franklin, NH manufacturing facility, including occasional presence on the manufacturing floor and use of required personal protective equipment.
• Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, company policies, safety procedures, and ethical procurement practices.

Nice to have

• Experience purchasing industrial equipment, maintenance parts, tooling, consumables, facilities supplies, and other MRO categories.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• APICS/ASCM, CPSM, CPM, or other purchasing and supply chain certification.
• Manufacturing experience supporting maintenance and operations teams.
• Experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
