Auto Damage Trainee (Field) (Automotive)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; field territory covers Palo Alto, San Jose, and San Francisco. The role includes 3 weeks of required training at the Ashburn, Virginia facility and 2 weeks at a field training center in New York, Texas, or California.

Annual salary: $32.05–$50.36; the posting also refers to the final hourly rate.

What you will do

• Inspect vehicles and assess damage after accidents.
• Review insurance contracts, write repair estimates, and estimate vehicle repair costs.
• Negotiate equitable settlements and manage rental cars.
• Consult with customers and other involved parties to resolve concerns and support a positive experience.
• Coordinate with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company underwriting guidelines required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, empathy, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer-facing or high-volume call-center experience with KPIs is preferred.
• An active adjuster’s license is preferred; training and exam fees are provided.
