Kia Journeyman Technician (Automotive)

Location: Onsite at the newly remodeled dealership in Niles, Illinois, United States; a new Chicago facility is projected for 2027.

Compensation: $46–$50 per booked hour, based on ASE certifications and manufacturer training.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair vehicles across all major automotive systems.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve faults.
• Apply Kia and Hyundai technical knowledge where applicable.
• Maintain high-quality repair standards in a team-oriented dealership shop.

Requirements

• Journeyman Technician status or higher is required.
• ASE certification is required.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across major vehicle systems.
• Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Kia or Hyundai-specific experience.
