Java Developer III (AWS)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States. Occasional travel under 15% and periodic on-call or extended-hours rotations may be required.

Salary: $137,300–$162,200 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, implement, and evaluate complex full-stack solutions using Java, Python, Node, and Angular.
• Build scalable REST APIs, microservices, and serverless or containerized workloads with Spring and Hibernate.
• Deploy cloud-native applications and services within AWS, including RDS and storage or migration services.
• Write unit tests, optimize application performance, and maintain code quality, security compliance, and data integrity.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical research, documentation, and cross-functional process improvement.
• Provide tier-three troubleshooting, production support, patch reviews, and programming support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on coding experience with Core Java, Python, and Node, including object-oriented design and performance optimization.
• Extensive experience with Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, SQL, JUnit, J2EE, Maven, JAXB, JSON, XML, microservices, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience building AWS cloud-native solutions using serverless architectures, containers, RDS, and storage or migration services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and independent decision-making skills.
