Principal Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; projects may require availability for various unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting is permitted.

Salary: $170,681–$195,000 per year base salary for U.S.-based roles. Compensation may also include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain construction cloud software products, including APIs and user interfaces.
• Design software flows that integrate multiple APIs and services.
• Build, enhance, troubleshoot, and optimize robust full-stack software systems.
• Conduct code reviews and improve maintainability, performance, security, reliability, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Work with Product Managers to translate customer and system requirements into executable sprint tasks.
• Implement high-level designs and prioritize features based on industry and product-specific customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered role or a related software engineering occupation.
• At least six years of experience developing and maintaining front-end and back-end systems and integrating interfaces with backend services and APIs.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL databases including PostgreSQL or MySQL, schema design, and query optimization.
• Experience deploying full-stack applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud using CI/CD, Docker, and serverless architectures.
• Experience with automated testing, performance monitoring, Agile sprints, and collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers.
