Facilities Manager (Critical Infrastructure)

Location: London, United Kingdom; responsible for operating the London office onsite

What you will do

• Lead daily facilities operations and line-manage the London facilities team.
• Manage mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, BMS, cleaning, waste, security, access control, health and safety, mailroom, and office services.
• Oversee critical infrastructure including UPS systems, backup power, generators, cooling, communications rooms, technical spaces, and building monitoring systems.
• Partner with Technology, Network Engineering, Security, HR, and workplace services teams to maintain operational resilience and employee experience.
• Lead office fit-outs, refurbishments, expansions, workplace redesign, sustainability initiatives, budgets, procurement, and contractor performance.
• Manage fire safety, emergency response planning, risk assessments, business continuity, statutory inspections, vendor contracts, and service improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in mission-critical or high-complexity environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading a facilities team.
• Experience in financial services, trading firms, technology companies, data centres, or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of hard services, technical building infrastructure, critical power systems, BMS, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, telecoms, and environmental monitoring.
• Proven experience managing third-party vendors, service contracts, office relocations, fit-outs, or major capital projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, financial acumen, crisis management, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or an equivalent discipline.
• IWFM Level 5 or Level 6.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely.
• PRINCE2, PMP, or a similar project management certification.
