Night Shift HSE Advisor (HPC) (Nuclear Construction): Promoting and implementing HSE management systems across high-risk engineering and construction projects with an accent on site inspections, audits, incident management, and emergency preparedness. Focus on investigating root causes, closing non-conformances, delivering HSE training, and maintaining compliance with UK legislation and nuclear safety requirements.
Location: Onsite near Bridgwater, Somerset, United Kingdom. Day shifts are required initially until the site is fully familiar.

What you will do
- Promote a positive HSE culture across HPC projects, legal entities, and the supply chain.
- Monitor site performance through inspections and audits, including reviews of risk assessments and method statements.
- Agree and follow up remedial actions for non-conformances with site management.
- Prepare HSE performance reports and KPI updates for business, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide onsite HSE guidance and identify, prepare, and deliver required training.
- Manage incident preparedness, response, reporting, investigation, follow-up, and emergency exercises.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an HSE Advisor or above on large, high-potential-risk engineering and construction projects.
- Expert knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience with EPC project delivery.
- Detailed understanding of UK HSE legislation.
- Experience with auditing, inspections, and remedial actions for non-conformances.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, behavioural safety, incident management, investigation, and Microsoft Office.
- NEBOSH General Certificate Level 3 or equivalent and mandatory CCNSG certification.
