Staff Software Engineer (AI) - Hybrid

Annual salary: $110,000–$230,000

What you will do

• Scope, design, and build scalable and resilient distributed systems.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Lead design sessions, participate in code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.
• Define products and drive technical decisions for the right business solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve development efficiency using AI.
• Use cloud, container orchestration, programming languages, databases, and Azure services to deliver reliable platforms.

Requirements

• 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 6+ years of architecture and design experience, including reliability, scaling, and design patterns.
• At least 4 years of experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or another cloud service.
• Strong knowledge of modern programming languages, data structures and algorithms, microservices, REST APIs, databases, and application security.
• Experience with Azure networking, PaaS/IaaS, DevOps concepts, deployment, monitoring, root cause analysis, and enterprise design documentation.
• At least 1 year of experience with Generative AI/LLM-based applications and agentic systems.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
• Experience with open-source frameworks and datacenter technologies.
