Software Engineer 2 (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $140,500–$190,000 per year in Mountain View; eligible roles may also receive cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality web or mobile software across requirements, design, coding, and documentation.
• Spend approximately 80–95% of the role on hands-on coding.
• Participate in peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code, and contribute to early quality activities.
• Resolve defects during QA, pre-production, production, and post-release patching.
• Collaborate with product management, QA/QE, product lines, business units, and other hirify.global teams.
• Apply and expand technical skills while supporting team delivery and positive team dynamics.

Requirements

• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
• Solid understanding and practical application of software engineering fundamentals and the software development life cycle.
• Experience with at least one object-oriented language: Java/J2EE, C#, VB.NET, Python, or sometimes C++.
• Understanding of web services, with REST or SOAP experience preferred.
• Understanding of unit testing and test-driven development.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, take ownership of problems, and contribute effectively to partnerships.
• Strong problem-solving, verbal and written communication, learning, and delivery skills.
• Experience with Agile Development, Scrum, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies.
