Trading Reference Data Specialist (Fintech)

What you will do

• Provide first-line production support for trading reference data issues.
• Investigate data problems affecting trading and downstream systems, taking ownership of data quality across environments.
• Maintain instrument definitions, pricing data, and corporate actions.
• Validate and monitor data from Bloomberg, exchanges, and other external vendors.
• Onboard trading venues, brokers, and financial instruments, coordinating changes with development teams.
• Work with traders, operations, developers, and quants to communicate data impacts and resolve issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in financial services, trading support, or reference data roles.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments and trading workflows.
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python, relational databases, and database table querying and updates.
• Experience with market data vendors such as Bloomberg and exchanges.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, prioritization, and production-support skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams.
