Etch Process Engineer V (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop and implement new etch processes for advanced test vehicles.
• Collaborate with lithography, deposition, equipment, maintenance, manufacturing, vendors, and suppliers on process integration and new tools.
• Monitor wafer fabrication, respond to in-line issues, and disposition lots.
• Implement process-control methodologies that improve product manufacturability.
• Coordinate process qualifications and equipment downtime.
• Transition new products into production and maintain process documentation and instructions.

Requirements

• MS degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of etch process engineering experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple issues and shifting priorities in a 7x24 manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines and lead others in solving complex problems.
• Ability to take initiative and mentor junior engineers.

Nice to have

• PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, or another science or engineering field.
• Experience working with chip manufacturers and process integration schemes.
• Detailed knowledge of plasma-etch processing and associated hardware.
• Knowledge of advanced patterning for logic and memory devices.
• Familiarity with hirify.global etch systems such as Mesa and Sym3.
