Applied AI Engineer

Location: San Francisco, on-site

Salary: $200,000–$350,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own and evolve the core agent loop and the AI workflows powering the product.
• Build intelligent agents that automate enterprise work and increase productivity.
• Design copilot-style workflows that help human operators work faster.
• Optimize agent quality using real usage data to improve reliability, adaptability, and resilience.
• Drive AI product capabilities from initial idea through production.
• Work closely with product and leadership while shipping and iterating quickly.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience focused on applied AI products.
• Experience shipping agentic systems used by real users.
• Ability to work across TypeScript, Node, and React.
• Experience debugging production systems and building reliable products.
• Strong product sense and ownership of projects from start to finish.
• Interest in current research on new models and agent architectures.
