Senior AI Product Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Brooklyn, NY (Williamsburg), with 3–4 days per week in the office

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 base salary plus meaningful equity

What you will do

• Own product features end-to-end, from PostgreSQL schemas and TypeScript/Node.js backend systems to React/Next.js interfaces.
• Build AI agents for candidate conversations, voice onboarding, interview coaching, and intelligent matching.
• Prototype AI-powered features with current models and scale successful concepts to thousands of users.
• Develop the intelligence layer and data flywheel that improve the marketplace through candidate conversations, matches, and hires.
• Make trade-offs between model cost, quality, speed, user experience, and business impact.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js across the stack.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered or other production AI features to real users.
• Product engineering mindset with the ability to define product direction as well as implementation.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, efficient queries, database schemas, and end-to-end data flow.
• 5+ years of experience, including meaningful experience in fast-paced environments with end-to-end ownership.
• Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including effective workflows for using them.

Nice to have

• Voice AI or conversational interface experience.
• Experience with agentic systems, AI orchestration, or Temporal.io.
• Marketplace, recruiting, or HR technology experience.
• Serverless architecture, GCP, or Python for AI/ML tooling.
• Experience creating custom skills, rules, or workflows for AI coding assistants.
