Residential Installation and Service Technician

What you will do

• Install, modify, remove, and troubleshoot residential voice, video, data, and broadband services.
• Assess and design basic home networks using coaxial cable, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and MoCA technologies.
• Diagnose service quality issues, perform applicable tests, and repair or adjust equipment and connections.
• Determine Wi-Fi device placement, evaluate channels and interference, and educate customers on products and services.
• Maintain service vehicles, tools, equipment, records, and customer-premises equipment inventory.
• Complete work orders, certifications, safety requirements, and assigned training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to work from heights, including poles, roofs, ladders, and bucket trucks.
• Ability to lift 70 pounds or more, work in confined spaces, and work near power lines and electricity.
• Ability to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, 10-hour shifts, and overtime.
• Ability to complete required training, certification tests, licensing, and applicable background checks.
