Business Operations Analyst (Middle & Back Office)

What you will do

• Reconcile positions, cash, and trade activity before market open.
• Reconcile front-office profit and loss estimates with prime broker reporting and validate trader end-of-day closing prices.
• Analyse accruals, including capital and interest charges, expenses, and commissions.
• Liaise with external parties to resolve position and cash discrepancies.
• Improve operational systems and processes while supporting new products and market expansion.
• Support margin management, relationship onboarding, legal and compliance coordination, and regulatory controls throughout the trade lifecycle.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a similar financial markets operations role.
• Operational knowledge of financial markets and trade flow through settlement.
• In-depth knowledge of equity derivatives, especially options and equities; commodity knowledge is beneficial.
• Experience with Asian markets is preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and broker contacts, prioritise by materiality and risk, and analyse operational issues.
• SQL, VBA, and Python knowledge, including use of AI tools, is highly regarded.
