Engineer II - .NET

Location: Bethesda, MD, United States. hirify.global Flex allows working from anywhere in the US for up to four weeks per year.

Annual salary: $80,000–$160,000.

What you will do

• Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems and applications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Participate in architecture and design sessions, code reviews, and engineering quality initiatives.
• Create and support reusable application components and technology patterns.
• Use C# or other object-oriented languages, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure services.
• Deliver software using Agile practices, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, PowerShell, and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Application Insights.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States for the role location.
• At least 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with architecture and design, microservices-oriented architecture, and extensible REST APIs.
• Experience with C#, Go, Java, or C++, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, HTML5, JavaScript or TypeScript, XML, and JSON.
• At least 2 years of experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or another cloud service, plus Git, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience; strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
