Software Engineer (.NET/AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Rochester, New York, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $70,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and maintain APIs, background services, reusable business logic, and customer-facing features with .NET and C#.
• Build web and cross-platform applications using Blazor and .NET MAUI.
• Develop cloud-native AWS solutions, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle and share effective workflows with the team.
• Implement logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, security, privacy, and least-privilege controls.
• Participate in technical design, estimation, code reviews, documentation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Three or more years of experience developing and supporting production systems.
• Experience with .NET, C#, Web API, ASP.NET MVC, RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, Blazor, and .NET MAUI.
• Experience with relational database design, SQL, AWS services, cloud architecture, security, and high availability.
• Experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, plus CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing, source control, code review, Agile delivery, observability, and production troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
