Customer Engineer - PDC (SEM Inspection & Metrology)

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States. Relocation eligible. Travel required up to 20% of the time.

Salary: $37.00–$51.20 per hour

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade PDC SEM-based inspection systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment using standard diagnostic techniques with support from senior engineers when needed.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electron-beam, vacuum, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Support customers in improving defect inspection performance, yield, tool uptime, and system reliability.
• Work with customers and internal teams to understand process flows and inspection requirements.
• Train and mentor junior engineers while communicating directly with customers.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience supporting semiconductor equipment is preferred.
• Experience with SEM tools or e-beam inspection systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, plus knowledge of vacuum systems, electron-beam fundamentals, and precision motion systems.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor processes, defects, and yield concepts; solid communication skills and basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Valid driver's license, ability to travel as needed, and ability to work in clean-room environments with required personal protective equipment and physical demands.
