Electron Developer (AI)

What you will do

• Build and maintain cross-platform desktop applications with Electron.
• Develop responsive interfaces for real-time collaboration and integrate AI-powered features through backend APIs.
• Implement desktop capabilities including file system access, native notifications, auto-updates, deep linking, and IPC communication.
• Optimize startup time, memory usage, Electron overhead, and runtime performance.
• Manage local state and message history while maintaining smooth real-time updates such as messages, typing indicators, and presence.
• Ensure application stability across macOS and Windows.

Requirements

• Production experience building Electron applications.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, with experience using React or a similar UI framework.
• Understanding of the desktop application lifecycle and IPC communication.
• Experience with SQLite, IndexedDB, filesystem storage, WebSockets, or similar real-time transport mechanisms.
• Strong debugging and performance profiling skills, with familiarity with native macOS or Windows behavior.
• Experience with Electron, Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
