Accounting Manager

Location: San Bruno, California, United States

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 annual base salary, excluding benefits and potential equity.

What you will do

• Own operational accounting and reporting, including general ledger analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Manage inventory accounting and reserves, fleet accounting, equity accounting, and stock-based compensation.
• Prepare technical accounting memos covering areas such as debt, equity transactions, and lessor accounting.
• Partner with Operations on manufacturing processes and reporting, and oversee accounts payable and accruals.
• Establish automated processes for financial reporting and analytics and enhance internal controls over assets and reporting.
• Coordinate financial statement audits and help recruit, train, and manage future accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• CPA required; inactive status is acceptable.
• At least five years of accounting experience, preferably in public audit firms or established retail businesses.
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience, with high attention to detail; inventory or retail experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, data-driven problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

• Experience with NetSuite.
