Focus on evaluating foreign engagements, managing Technology Control Plans, conducting audits, and developing compliance training for aerospace operations.
Location: San Francisco, United States. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status is required.
Base salary: $115,000–$235,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do
- Lead the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of trade and regulatory compliance programs.
- Advise on ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions, FCPA, and FAR/DFARS requirements.
- Classify technical data, hardware, software, and defense services under the CCL and USML.
- Evaluate foreign engagements, prepare export authorizations, and manage filings through DECCS and SNAP-R.
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, HR, and sales teams on foreign national access, Technology Control Plans, and vendor agreements.
- Lead compliance reviews, audits, self-disclosures, regulatory filings, and company-wide training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, international relations, legal studies, logistics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on regulatory compliance experience with core expertise in U.S. export controls, including ITAR and EAR.
- Working knowledge of OFAC sanctions, FCPA anti-corruption standards, and FAR/DFARS compliance.
- Familiarity with U.S. government filing systems such as DECCS and SNAP-R.
- Ability to translate complex regulations into actionable guidance and manage multiple compliance projects independently.
- Must hold U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
Nice to have
- J.D. or recognized trade compliance certification such as CUSECO.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, satellite, or advanced hardware manufacturing.
- Knowledge of CFIUS regulations and U.S. government contracting compliance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. federal security clearance.
