Corporate Development Principal (Insurance)

Location: Remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii and Alaska. Travel may be required for divisional, team, and other in-person meetings.

Salary: $152,010–$202,550 annually, depending on work location, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus of up to 12% of eligible pay.

What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, and advance strategic alliances, vendor relationships, and new business opportunities.
• Lead intake and evaluation of external opportunities from initial discovery through executive recommendation.
• Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, opportunity assessments, financial analyses, and strategic business cases.
• Coordinate cross-functional evaluations with Product Strategy & Development, Legal, Claims, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and Operations.
• Support due diligence, contract negotiations, implementation planning, governance activities, and executive approvals.
• Drive complex strategic initiatives by managing dependencies, risks, decisions, deliverables, communications, and executive recommendations.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, program management, corporate strategy, product strategy, sales, consulting, or related functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Management, Economics, Insurance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
• Demonstrated success identifying, developing, evaluating, and advancing strategic partnerships or complex business opportunities.
• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States; visa sponsorship and future immigration support are not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certifications in project or program management, business analysis, insurance, or strategic management.
• Experience supporting employee resource groups, mentoring, volunteering, or cross-functional projects.
