Senior Staff Engineer (Go)

Annual salary: $115,000–$260,000

What you will do

• Develop and drive the technical roadmap for the Digital Personal Auto Sales platform.
• Design and architect resilient, scalable platform services across on-premises and public cloud environments.
• Build software, automated tests, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and production support processes.
• Modernize legacy platform components and improve partner integration capabilities, compliance, and visibility.
• Create incident response plans, runbooks, triage strategies, and post-incident analyses.
• Advise stakeholders, mentor engineers, evaluate technologies, and support operational planning and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including 8+ years in architecture and design.
• Fluency in at least one modern programming language; Go is preferred.
• Experience designing and operating highly scalable, available, and reliable production systems.
• Deep knowledge of DevOps, hybrid cloud architecture, IaaS, PaaS, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and observability.
• Knowledge of security, encryption, databases, networking, load balancing, queues, DNS, CDN, and cloud compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent education or experience.

Nice to have

• .NET experience.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud provider.
• Experience with open-source frameworks and monitoring tools.
