Manager, Software Engineering (C++, GoLang, or Java) (AdTech)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; 2 days onsite required

Salary: $150,452.09–$225,678.13 per year

What you will do

• Manage and develop a team of software engineers through direction, technical guidance, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Management to deliver new Buyercloud features for customers.
• Guide technical architecture, design philosophies, engineering practices, and code quality standards.
• Drive improvements to the Ad Serving software infrastructure and provide technical support and training.
• Ensure delivery against deadlines, specifications, budgets, and team performance objectives.
• Work with team members across multiple remote locations and time zones, including nights and weekends when required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall software development experience and 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency building distributed applications with object-oriented languages such as C++, Java, Rust, or Go.
• Experience deploying and operating applications with a public cloud provider.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Git, and Microsoft Office products.

Nice to have

• Media or advertising industry experience.
• AWS certification.
