Software Developer (Ruby)

Location: Remote within the USA; ability to work 9:00–5:00 EST or close to it is required

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Build and deploy platform features in collaboration with developers, management, and account managers.
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL data storage and retrieval.
• Write unit tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain clean, documented code.
• Resolve bugs, technical issues, and performance bottlenecks while contributing to application scalability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the codebase and development processes.

Requirements

• Experience developing with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with Git and Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, third-party API integrations, and external services such as payment processors.
• Experience with React, Ember, Vue, native Rails views, or similar frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of AWS service and deployment concepts, Docker, and agile development methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
