Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (Backend Focus)

Location: Current residence in Argentina required; remote work with occasional visits to the client’s office in Argentina.

Salary: USD 5,000–6,000 per month

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions with Ruby on Rails.
• Solve complex challenges involving performance, concurrency, distributed architecture, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor other team members.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.
• Participate in architectural decisions and support the infrastructure migration to AWS.

Requirements

• Recent professional experience using Ruby on Rails in primary projects.
• Experience building and scaling large, complex products with high concurrency, millions of users, and critical integrations.
• Expertise in performance optimization, architecture design, and scalability.
• Experience leading projects or technical teams in e-commerce, marketplaces, or large-scale digital platforms.
• Advanced English at C1 level or higher is mandatory.
• Current residence in Argentina is mandatory.

Nice to have

• General frontend knowledge of React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
