General Manager, Data Science & Machine Learning

Location: Plano, Texas; based at the North American headquarters with residence required within commutable distance.

What you will do

• Lead a 60-person enterprise organization spanning data science and machine learning engineering.
• Set technical direction and standards for modeling, experimentation, deployment, monitoring, reproducibility, validation, and production support.
• Oversee analytical and machine learning solutions from problem framing and prototyping through deployment, adoption, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Guide production-grade analytical products and applications on cloud platforms such as AWS and Snowflake, including predictive decisioning, reporting, workflows, interfaces, and enterprise integrations.
• Partner with executives across risk, audit, compliance, finance, and technology to define decision-support capabilities and manage model, operational, and regulatory risk.
• Develop talent strategy, learning programs, leadership capability, and governance standards for the data science organization.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Data Science or a closely related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or applied analytics, including ownership of analytical model development and production machine learning systems.
• Significant financial services experience in regulated decisioning environments involving governance, auditability, and financial or regulatory impact.
• Experience leading technical organizations, managers of managers, senior leaders, and senior individual contributors.
• Production machine learning lifecycle experience, including design, deployment, monitoring, drift management, and retraining in the cloud.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using R or SAS, AWS, GCP, or Azure, and Snowflake, Spark, or Databricks.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global immigration support or visa sponsorship.
