Engineer - Internal Logistics (Automotive)

Location: TMMTX in San Antonio, Texas, United States; onsite. Up to 30% domestic and international travel required.

What you will do

• Lead and support cross-functional internal logistics engineering projects for new model management and major production changes.
• Design routing, delivery frequency, returns handling, space utilization, and other internal logistics processes.
• Lead or support automation initiatives involving automated delivery systems, material handling equipment, and digital tools.
• Define functional requirements, automation concepts, and system specifications with engineering and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Develop common internal logistics data and KPIs for delivery performance, routing efficiency, returns handling, and system uptime.
• Deploy standard work, visual management, documentation, daily management, and root-cause analysis practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant engineering experience.
• Strong internal logistics engineering experience with routing, delivery methods, space planning, and material handling systems.
• AutoCAD experience with layout design, floor plans, flow visualization, and XRefs.
• At least 1 year of TMNA MBO experience or 5+ years of NAMC logistics experience as a hirify.global team member or contractor.
• Microsoft Excel experience, including structured data creation and analysis, plus at least 1 year of project management experience.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without hirify.global immigration or employment-visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Participation in Jishuken or Kaizen/TPS activities.
• Experience developing Material and Information Flow Charts.
• Experience working with automation vendors and defining requirements or reviewing layouts.
• Experience with PLC programming and automation control software or hardware.
• Internal Logistics Pilot Planning experience supporting pilot builds and mass-production transitions.
