Security Engineer (AWS)

Location: US Remote

Salary: $104,148–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Improve security automation, detection initiatives, and resilient security solutions.
• Build security tooling, automated checks, and CI/CD pipeline controls for internal tools and services.
• Analyze security metrics and alerting workflows to reduce false positives and improve incident prioritization.
• Develop repeatable incident-response processes and playbooks.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation as the primary incident responder and incident manager.
• Implement security controls for AWS serverless infrastructure and authentication surfaces, including SAML single sign-on.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a related role.
• Experience in security operations, monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, data logging, and IAM.
• At least 1 year of experience with AWS security services, including WAF, GuardDuty, IAM, KMS, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with tool integrations, REST APIs, and TypeScript or Python.
• Knowledge of networking, network security, authentication, SAML, OIDC/OAuth, web application firewalls, intrusion detection, infrastructure as code, and public cloud platforms.
