Materials Project Manager IV (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. Full-time onsite role with approximately 10% travel. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $88,000–$121,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock award compensation.

What you will do

• Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and communicate demand to suppliers.
• Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables across buyers, planners, production control, and engineering.
• Create, release, and update materials strategies for new projects with limited supervision.
• Support supplier selection, price and delivery negotiations, risk assessments, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Execute commercialization materials plans and manage materials change control, cost targets, and key process indicators.
• Partner with engineering and quality teams to resolve supplier issues and identify critical, long-lead, and inspection-required parts.

Requirements

• Depth and/or breadth of expertise in a specialized materials, sourcing, or manufacturing discipline.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices for products, processes, or services.
• Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate resources, risk, or complexity.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to communicate difficult concepts, negotiate with stakeholders, and influence different points of view.
• Ability to work in Austin, Texas, with approximately 10% travel; relocation support is not available.
