Legal Intern (Fintech)

Location: Mexico City, hybrid; applicants must be able to work from the Mexico City office

Financial operating system for global businesses providing corporate cards, cross-border payments, and spend management software across 20+ countries.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and support the turnaround of NDAs, vendor contracts, partner agreements, and customer terms under legal team supervision.
• Maintain the contract lifecycle, including version tracking, signature status, renewals, obligations, and repository organization.
• Research regulatory and legal questions across Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia and prepare concise decision-ready memos.
• Assist with corporate governance, entity records, resolutions, filings, and cross-border documentation.
• Partner with Compliance, Finance, and People on data privacy, employment documentation, diligence, fundraising, and audit workstreams.
• Use Claude and internal AI tools for contract review, first-pass drafting, clause comparison, legal intake, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• Current law student or recent law graduate in Mexico.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish required; legal reading and drafting are required in both languages.
• Strong structured writing and the ability to turn complex questions into concise, useful answers.
• High attention to detail and willingness to work effectively in an ambiguous, lean-team environment.
• Interest in fintech, payments, cross-border regulation, and AI-enabled legal work.
