CAD Engineer/Librarian Intern (Winter 2027) (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Model and draw spacecraft components, structures, manifolds, and supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve the design library and related data infrastructure.
• Develop and document practices that support efficient, consistent design work.
• Contribute to hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• Passion for hardware development and hands-on engineering.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required for compliance with U.S. space technology export regulations.
• Currently enrolled in a college or university; the internship lasts twelve weeks and is an hourly role.

Nice to have

• Experience designing complex assemblies and components.
• Experience with spaceflight components or vacuum-compatible systems.
• Experience with surface modeling.
