Mechanical Associate Engineer (Spring 2027)

Location: San Francisco, United States. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.

Salary: $1,925 per week ($1,925–$1,925 USD).

What you will do

• Collaborate with the engineering team to design satellite hardware and software.
• Build and test hardware for complex space projects.
• Personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• Contribute to projects with hardware and software intended for space deployment.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or an equivalent technical field.
• Passion for hardware development and hands-on design in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD.
• Experience with stress or thermal analysis software.
• Experience designing and specifying electromechanical systems.
• Experience with control-system modeling and design.
