Manager, Corporate Network Engineering

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid policy requiring all staff to be in one of the company's offices at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $285,000–$325,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Corporate Network Engineering team, including hiring, development, performance management, planning, and prioritization.
• Set architecture standards across enterprise edge networking, campus switching, wireless, segmentation, out-of-band management, and telemetry.
• Own network reliability and operations, including monitoring, incident response, post-incident reviews, on-call, change safety, and lifecycle management.
• Move the network fleet toward network-as-code through templated configuration, change control, staged rollouts, drift detection, and automation.
• Partner with Security Engineering, Detection & Response, Buildouts, AV, Physical Security, Workplace, Real Estate, Procurement, and external partners.
• Deliver networks for new offices and research facilities, manage live migrations, vendor relationships, carrier and integrator contracts, and the hardware budget.

Requirements

• 10+ years designing, building, and operating enterprise campus and edge networks, including experience with dozens of sites across regions.
• 5+ years leading engineers, including at least 3 years as a people manager.
• Deep experience with firewalls, routing, campus switching, high-density enterprise wireless, redundancy, RF design, segmentation, and access control.
• Hands-on expertise with certificate-based 802.1X, secure administrative access, network automation, Python, templating, vendor APIs, source control, CI, and network observability.
• Experience operating reliable networks, including monitoring, incident response, on-call models, change safety, and out-of-band access.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience leading corporate networking during rapid office expansion.
• Experience with certificate-based authentication, dynamic segmentation, telemetry pipelines, dense wireless deployments, and office buildouts.
• Experience managing integrators, MSPs, or smart-hands providers while retaining design authority in-house.
