Network Implementation Lead (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, with presence required in the San Francisco or Bellevue office four days per week; work from home on Tuesdays

Annual salary: $218,000–$290,000 in San Francisco or $196,000–$261,000 in Bellevue

What you will do

• Lead network deployments, equipment refreshes, end-of-life replacements, lab builds, proofs of concept, and new product introductions.
• Coordinate Engineering, Product, HPC, Solutions Engineering, account technical teams, Data Center Operations, suppliers, and local technicians.
• Manage fiber paths, cross-connect orders, site access, optics, network edge drawings, implementation schedules, dependencies, and recovery plans.
• Validate contracted circuit delivery through activation, including physical and logical testing, site visits, and resolving gaps against approved designs.
• Create close-out packages with as-built drawings, meet-me-room records, test results, service records, approvals, and support contacts.
• Develop implementation runbooks, playbooks, acceptance checklists, and shared project and inventory records.

Requirements

• Experience leading network implementation in data centers, at the network edge, or across carrier networks, including changes to live infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with fiber routes, cross-connects, equipment installation, and physical site readiness.
• Ability to read network designs, review physical and logical test results, and identify gaps between approved scope and delivered work.
• Experience coordinating engineers, site teams, and suppliers across concurrent projects, stalled deliveries, and service escalations.
• Working knowledge of optical transport, lit services, wavelengths, and dark fiber, including acceptance requirements.
• Experience maintaining close-out packages and drawings, reporting risks, and resolving implementation issues.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering labs, proofs of concept, new products, or equipment refreshes.
• Ability to interpret optical time-domain reflectometer traces.
• Experience administering NetBox, Jira, or carrier portals.
