TL;DR
Lead Application Architect (Patient Care Technology) (Healthcare/EMR): Designing and developing application architecture for EMR-related systems and associated applications supporting the transition from eCW to athena with an accent on enterprise integration, healthcare interoperability, and architecture standards. Focus on assessing product compatibility, developing technical specifications, advising executives, and solving complex integration challenges across enterprise teams.

Location: Remote, limited to candidates based in the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area. Occasional travel to company offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

  • Design and develop application architecture solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead EMR-related architecture work and associated applications supporting the transition from eCW to athena.
  • Develop and modify technical plans, architecture specifications, and specifications for new products, services, and applications.
  • Assess product and service compatibility to maintain integration across interdependent applications.
  • Collaborate across enterprise teams and advise executives on significant, segment-specific technology strategies.
  • Use independent judgment to resolve complex architecture and integration issues with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience as a senior developer on large IT projects.
  • Prior project lead experience.
  • Ability to work from a dedicated, interruption-free space to protect member PHI and HIPAA information.
  • Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of healthcare APIs and interoperability patterns.
  • Experience with SaaS products and integration engines used for interoperability.
  • Knowledge of agile delivery practices.
