Senior Mechanical Estimator (Data Center Construction)

What you will do

• Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design for large-scale construction projects and programs.
• Deliver and present updated cost plans at key design milestones, including program-level estimates for defined scopes.
• Review design changes, new technologies, alternate products, and value engineering ideas to assess cost effectiveness.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize completed-project cost information to identify cost model trends.
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise support staff and contribute to training on estimating tools and templates.
• Prepare leadership presentations and deliver life cycle costing models for the client’s preconstruction and estimating team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in construction cost management as a Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls professional, or similar.
• Experience providing conceptual estimating or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.
• Experience supporting large-scale construction projects and programs.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including value management and value engineering, with excellent communication skills.
