TL;DR
Senior Product Manager (Content, Offroad) (Geospatial Data/Content Strategy): Defining the content and data strategy for an offroad product, connecting trail, POI, land-management, and community-contributed data with customer needs and product roadmaps. Focus on evaluating third-party data sources, designing data models and schemas, measuring content impact, managing land-management partnerships, and leading the Trail Guide Program.

Location: Remote within the United States, with eligible locations including Austin, Bozeman, Denver, Kalispell, Minneapolis, Missoula, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle. Permanent US work authorization is required. Quarterly travel for multiple days to a corporate office or strategic onX location is required.

Salary: $143,000–$179,000 annually, plus stock options and a 10% annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Own the Offroad content and data strategy across trails, points of interest, user-generated conditions, land data, basemaps, and emerging content layers.
  • Translate customer jobs-to-be-done and market research into content roadmaps, data models, schemas, and product requirements.
  • Research, evaluate, and prioritize third-party data sources and partnerships.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Content to ship connected content experiences for offroad customers.
  • Measure content impact on customer behavior, conversion, and ROI, using insights to guide strategy.
  • Manage land-management relationships and the Trail Guide contributor program while representing roadmap priorities and risks to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Business, Data/Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years leading software products or platforms, including 4+ years in product management and 3+ years in content strategy, data management, or program management.
  • Experience translating customer needs into content or data-model requirements with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
  • Experience with end-user experience, jobs-to-be-done, data models, and schemas.
  • Credible ties to the off-road, overlanding, or powersports community.
  • Permanent US work authorization and quarterly travel availability are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with land-management agencies or third-party geospatial data licensing.
  • Experience managing external partnerships, data vendors, contributors, communities, or ambassador programs.
  • Familiarity with GIS platforms, geospatial data pipelines, or knowledge-graph and data-model concepts.
