Albany, NY Global Technical Learning Center Technical Trainer (Semiconductor)

Location: Albany, NY, United States; the role delivers training at the local technical learning center and customer sites. Domestic and international travel is required. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $84,000–$115,500 per year

What you will do

• Teach classroom and hands-on courses covering theory, safety, and operation of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and maintain technical training, certification programs, course materials, and supporting documentation.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and prepare laboratory training systems to meet course objectives and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, technical publications, and business teams to keep training aligned with current technologies.
• Manage complex cross-functional projects, direct project team members, and improve learning effectiveness and delivery.
• Coach and mentor instructors, support customer training, and resolve technical or customer satisfaction issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military training or experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, field service, technical training, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
• Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems using sound engineering judgment.
• Strong presentation, communication, facilitation, project management, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor field experience with Epitaxy and Implant processes on hirify.global equipment.
• Experience developing or delivering technical training, certification programs, or knowledge-transfer initiatives.
• Experience with learning technologies, instructional development, technical documentation, mentoring, or coaching.
