Electrical Estimator

Location: Zanesville, Ohio; onsite

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience in estimating electrical commercial work.

What you will do

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial electrical projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents; perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and develop labor, material, equipment, and project cost estimates.
• Prepare bid proposals, track bids, maintain estimating databases, and provide weekly bid status reports.
• Coordinate project pricing for change orders, ASIs, bulletins, schedule of values, and material procurement.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, vendors, and contractors through project turnover and post-construction reviews.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in electrical estimating, electrical contracting, or construction estimating preferred.
• Knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and building codes.
• Experience with cost estimating, budgeting, and bid preparation.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
